In a competitive commercial environment, a successful project results from creatively solving functional and economic needs; providing high quality design with responsible budgeting.
Aviators are dreamers. For over a hundred years aviation made significant advances only when aviators were able to bring their dreams into reality. Kurt Boswell is an aviator and a dreamer. Six years ago he envisioned his business, Ace Aviation Inc., in a new multidisciplined facility designed as a true aviation maintenance facility, one with all of the components needed to meet that goal.
The new aviation center is destined to become the signature architectural statement at the south end of the Renton Airport, marking a clear departure from the drab white boxes associated with airport facilities of the past. The larger maintenance and operations building is reflective of early 20th century manufacturing buildings with rows of grilled windows, while the office tower is a modern swept roof reflection of the forward thinking minds of Ace Aviation. The interior of the office tower features a three story 45 foot tall atrium filled with historic aviation displays and the nose section of a 737 commercial jet with a fully functional flight deck.
